Well, I hate to see outdated stuff on my userpage, especially journal entries that make claims do to stuff that I havent. So here, have a new journal entry

I'm currently on uni holidays. The first semester of this year was pretty good, I learned a lot and think I did pretty well on exams (aside from maths maybe).

Nothing much else to report...

Well, mine is a stagnant little userpage lately, wouldn't you say?

Might be getting back into some arty stuff soon - holidays have just begun (and will keep going until the start of march ). I want to make some new stuff, but I haven't done anything for so long I feel somewhat out of it and disoriented. I tried doing a vector a whle back but illustrator died on me and has never returned

I'm off to the beach for a week starting tomorrow, and then going from there to a big venturer camp for the weekend. So hopefully I'll come back from all that feeling excited and energised - but I'll probably just be tired instead

After that I have a potential internship at a certain incredibly cool game company, and I will probably be doing some other work on the side. So I hope to get back into this "art" business, but time will tell...

Looking at my recent deviations I'm thinking "god that shit is old" - I've done about 2 serious pieces that aren't website designs this entire year. That's a depressing thought, I used to be so active

Well, I've been working on it a little while, and it's finally up and running. Tim3d as a name was pretty unimaginitive, so I decided to go with GFX Monk, which is far more unique and I think cooler

It has all the content from the old tim3d site, but I've totally overhauled the backend to make it easier for me to update and manage, as well as cleaning up the pages and turning them into xhtml+css.

The new design is more minimal, so it loads and scrolls quicker (something that really bugged me about my last design). This is actually my first fixed-width design, which is kinda weird since most people seem to start with fixed-width designs.

Logged in today to see 2 policy violations in my inbox... One was for my "lonely unicycle robot" animation, the other for my "Life in a box" animation.

The admin note said: deviantART does not currently support the submission of AVI files.

I find this confusing. I was under the impression devart supported all file types, you just had to upload a thumbnail if your submission wasnt one of the regular image filetypes.

It's a bit of a shame, but to be honest its not like I have been terribly active in the past 6 months anyways. I've got my website portfolio/blog that I'm considering doing an overhaul on, I might just abandon devart and only post stuff over there. Unfortunately nobody much visits my site, but oh well you gotta do something to keep yourself occupied... Oh and people should get into the habit of using RSS/ATOM feeds heaps cos it makes keeping up with the little sites you love dearly (like mine ) far easier...

Once again I'm in a bit of a creative lull, dunno if I will actually get back into it again anytime soon either. I haven't done any arty stuff for so long, it's almost like my inspiration left me when school finished

On a more positive note, university is going well
Despite all the lectures and stuff being pretty full-on and my timetable being so packed, it's great to just hang out with friends - both new and old - in any spare time we have...
